Browser (free demo)

Runs in any modern desktop browser with WebGPU enabled:

• Chrome 113 or later · enabled by default
• Edge 113 or later · enabled by default
• Firefox 141 or later (or 113+ with dom.webgpu.enabled flag)
• Safari 18 or later (macOS Sequoia / iOS 18+)

No install, no signup. Open /play and the game loads. The same browser demo is also playable in-page on the itch.io page.

Free demo (downloadable binary · Windows, macOS, Linux)

If you want to run the demo offline or away from a browser, the same free demo ships as a downloadable build for all three desktop platforms on itch.io. No account required, DRM-free, portable (just unzip and run).

Windows full game (itch.io · $9.99)

The paid build unlocks online ranked play, all bot personalities, and saved games. Minimum:

• OS Windows 10 (64-bit) or later
• CPU Any x86-64 from 2015 or later
• RAM 4 GB
• GPU Any GPU with Vulkan or DirectX 12 support (integrated graphics OK)
• Storage ~150 MB
• Internet Only for online play. Vs-AI and pass-and-play work fully offline.

Recommended (for online play and the highest graphics setting):

• RAM 8 GB
• GPU Discrete GPU from 2019 or later
• Display 1080p or higher

Install

1. Download from roundonline.itch.io/3chess — buy the Windows full game, or grab a free demo build for your platform.
2. Unzip the file anywhere. All builds are portable, no installer required.
3. Run the executable: 3chess.exe on Windows, the 3chess app on macOS, or ./3chess on Linux.
4. Sign in with your account if you want online ranked play. Vs-AI and pass-and-play work without an account.

To uninstall: delete the folder. The game stores no system-wide files; settings live next to the executable.

Other platforms

Full paid builds for macOS and Linux, plus iOS and Android, are on the roadmap. The Steam, Epic Games, App Store and Google Play listings will go live closer to launch. Subscribe via the itch.io page for release notifications.
